Pass through dishwashers
We stock a comprehensive range of pass through
dishwashers, all available for quick delivery. In terms of their
speed and the size of the basket, they compare very favourably
to front loading dishwashers. For instance, a wash cycle usually
takes between 1-3 minutes. Where they differ is in the way that
you use them.
Pass through dishwashers are designed to be fitted in-between
two areas of dishwasher tabling, the clean and soiled tables.
In our experience, most kitchens with pass through dishwashers
have an area for stacking and sorting washing up (the soiled or
dirty area) and an area for clean washing up to air dry before
being put away. In other words, a pass through dishwasher works
a bit like a washing up conveyor belt. Dirty washing up is sorted
and stacked into the dishwasher basket and treated with a pre-wash
spray. Next, the dishwasher basket is slid into the dishwasher
and the wash cycle begins. Once finished, the dishwasher basket
is slid out the other side and the clean washing up is left to
air dry.
As a general rule, we’d recommend pass through dishwashers
for busy commercial kitchens where there’s a continuous
flow of washing up. If in doubt, why not give us a call to discuss
your options or to arrange a free site visit? It’s easier
for us to help you once we know a little more about your business.
In the meantime, here’s a quick guide to give you a few
useful pointers.
A quick guide to pass through dishwashers
Pass through dishwashers are available with 1, 2 and 3 minute
wash cycles.
The basket size is usually 500 x 500 mm.
Because pass through dishwashers are fitted between two areas
(soiled and clean) in a kitchen you need to consider the best
place to put your machine. If you’d like to talk this over
with us, simply call, or one of our specialist engineers would
be happy to visit your kitchen and give you more advice.
We’d recommend that the ‘soiled’ washing up
area contains, or is close to a sink – as it’ll come
in useful for rinsing away excess food etc.
Pass through dishwashers have very powerful pumps so they’re
excellent for continuous loads of washing up or heavily soiled
crockery.
They also contain powerful heaters to heat the water used in
the dishwasher to a high temperature. This means that your clean
washing up will air-dry very quickly. Whilst giving you thorough,
hygienically clean, sparkling results.
It’s well worth considering a pass through dishwasher if
you’re washing up for around 100+ people a day. If not,
maybe a front loading dishwasher would be a better option?
