FRONT LOADING DISHWASHERS
We stock a whole range of commercial, front loading dishwashers
so we guarantee we’ll be able to find the one that’s
right for you. Generally speaking, front loading dishwashers are
ideal for all kinds of people, from caterers, cafes and restaurants
to hairdressers, care homes and churches. If you’ve got
lots of washing up to do – we can help!
Don’t forget, there’s a big difference between a
commercial dishwasher and the kind of machine you’ve probably
got at home. Commercial dishwashers are designed to get through
a wash cycle very quickly, usually between 1 – 4 minutes,
and they can handle multiple loads of washing up, even if you
need to run it continuously throughout the day.
And that’s the kind of speed and efficiency you need when
you have customers depending on you!
If you’d like to have a chat about what kind of dishwasher
may be best for you, simply call us and we’ll be happy to
help. We understand choosing the right machine is a big decision,
not only because it’s an investment, but because it’s
going to be an essential part of your organisation.
To help you, we’ve put together a guide to front loading
dishwashers, together with a few things to bear in mind if you’re
considering buying one.
A quick guide to front loading dishwashers
Front loading dishwashers are around the same size as domestic
dishwashers but that’s where the similarity ends!
Front loading dishwashers can get through a load of washing up
in 1-3 minutes.
They can be fitted below a worktop or on a stand, raised to worktop
height.
If you have your dishwasher fitted at worktop height you won’t
have to bend down to load or unload it – making life easier
for your staff.
If you’re looking for a dishwasher you can run continuously,
choose one with powerful heaters for continuous hot water.
If you’d prefer to have your dishwasher installed under
a worktop it may need to be fitted with a drain pump, if it’s
below the height of your drains. But don’t worry; our specialist
engineers will be able to advise you if you have any questions
about fitting or where to put your dishwasher.
In addition, our specialist engineers are always on hand to
answer plumbing and electrical related queries and will ensure
that your new dishwasher is plugged into the correct power supply
etc.
Do you live in a moderate or hard water area? If so, we’d
recommend you use a water softener to get the best results from
your dishwasher and to protect against lime scale. Extras like
these are all part of the Dishwashers Direct service, and we’ll
be happy to discuss the options with you. For instance, some dishwashers
come fitted with integral water softeners or you can add a manual
water softener.
What’s the difference between a dishwasher and a glass
washer?
You may be wondering which would suit you best – a dishwasher
or a glass washer. The answer to that depends on the kind of business
you’re running and what you’d like to use your machine
for. Feel free to call us if you’d like to discuss your
options.
In a nutshell, the difference between a dishwasher and a glass
washer lies in the design of the washing arm. A dishwasher has
two washing arms, one at the top and one at the bottom so it can
wash things like plates and dishes really thoroughly. For this
reason, a dishwasher is the best choice for a café, restaurant
or small catering firm etc.
Whilst a glass washer generally has just one washing arm, located
at the bottom of the machine. This is fine if you want to wash
things that don’t need a lot of washing. For instance, glasses
or cups and plates that have just been used for sandwiches or
a cake. The advantage is, that because glass washers only have
one rotating washing arm at the bottom they are more compact and
fit more easily behind a bar for example. Some glass washers also
have a cold rinse facility so you can serve cold drinks immediately,
without having to wait for your glasses to cool down. So if you’re
predominantly looking to wash glasses, it’s well worth investing
in a specialist glass washer.
